As Northwood students begin to settle in comfortably to their new class schedules, clubs and extracurricular activities, the fall sports season is back in full force. Games for most athletics are already underway, with a full list of events to buy tickets for, and a growing prominence of jerseys in the hallways. A few student athletes spoke with The Omniscient about how they feel about their personal athletic performance and this year’s outlook for their teams.
There is no easy path when applying to universities, but knowing all of your options and resources can alleviate some worry. Common App, the platform used by most American students to submit most of their college applications and write their personal essays, can be tricky to navigate. Maybe you can navigate Common App with ease, but you struggle with writing your essay or with selecting a specific list of colleges to apply to.

Student council elections for class representatives of the 2021-2022 school year have concluded as of May 20, though results have not yet been announced. Voting was eligible for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors on May 17, May 18 and May 19. The Omniscient interviewed student council candidates to see how they felt about the election.
