Across social media and the internet as a whole, Artificial Intelligence (AI) art is creating a buzz. Websites all across the internet are using algorithms to create unique and creative art pieces. Many people have mixed opinions, including some of the Northwood arts teachers.
Through a series of interviews from students at Northwood, The Omniscient has collected opinions on the top album released in 2022, and whether they believe Harry Styles deserved the title of “best album of the year” which he won at the Grammys for his album Harry’s House.
My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) and My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) are defined as “clubs that address persistent opportunity gaps faced by young men and women of color and ensure that all young people can reach their full potential,” according to the organization’s website. The two clubs have been uniting Northwood’s Black student population for more than 5 years through meetings that happen on Fridays during Plus 1 and activities to promote connection.
The Flawless Boutique, a brand new resource available to students, is being brought to Northwood by school social worker Ashley McNeil and school counselor Telisa Hunter. The boutique is meant to provide prom attire and accessories to students throughout Chatham County who may not have the financial means to splurge on a new dress or suit.
The new head football coach, Mitch Johnson, started his first day at Northwood on Monday, Feb 6. He has a firm background in coaching and teaching, which started from a young age.
Northwood’s chapter of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) purchased three dairy goats this winter from Lily Den Farm, a local farm, in Pittsboro.
