“Fish Lake,” First Poem Highlighted in Omniscient and NEHS Partnership

In this new series published by The Northwood Omniscient, works of writing by Northwood’s National English Honor Society will be highlighted. The first of these pieces to be highlighted is written by Northwood Senior Elizabeth Cremeans.

“Fish Lake”

Warm sun tickling skin

Cattails blowing

In the wind

The breeze from the lake

Pushing her grey hair

She looks and sees

The miniature minnows

Swimming circles in the shallows.

Eagles creating shadows on the shore

Distant hums of fishing boats

Ripples from bubbles

Of hidden wildlife.
