“Twisted Love Letter To Earth

At midnight I let my thoughts run wild

Thinking of you, beautiful world

Whose complexion I can’t see yet

Whose identity is still hidden

My insomnia keeps me awake

Imagining your irises

It almost seems better than discovering you

Almost

Remember this

When I get quiet and I stare at you

Blue sky, brown trees, humans that cry,

Fall,

And leave

It’s only because I’m insecure, beautiful world

But I’m almost ready to love you

Almost
