Quarantine Hobbies

The coming of coronavirus indicated a massive uptick in the amount of free time students have each day. With options limited due to lockdown, lots of students have taken up new hobbies to pass the time. Let’s take a look at some of the pastimes that students have taken up.

I started cooking over quarantine. Before quarantine, I just cooked things out of boxes. Now, I’ve baked sourdough bread and parmesan.

Rafa Rocha learned how to play guitar over quarantine. “I started playing the guitar because it’s fun.”

Caroline Scholer started creating rings and earrings. “I went to the store and bought some wire, and have started experimenting with it for fun! It’s really cool,” she says.

Alanna Wood started skateboarding. “My uncle used to skate when he was younger, and I thought it sounded fun,” she says.

“I started roping because I am getting cows I figured I should learn to rope,” says Jeremey Fernandez.

The Social Media Editor of the Omniscient, Grace Leonard, has been practicing bullet journaling. “[It helps me] focus on what I can control during quarantine and to help keep organized,” she says.
