Fashion. Whenever we think of that word, we think stilettos, cutting-edge blazers, bright lights and slicked back hair, plus millions of dollars worth of high-end fabrics and accessories. We don’t automatically think comfortable or cozy. But since the pandemic, people have found themselves strutting the runways from home. And so, the ideals of fashion have changed yet again.
As 2020 comes to a close, it’s time to take a look at global fashion trends of 2020, influenced in large part by the pandemic. Here’s a refresher on this year’s most popular styles, from casual to throwback.
Robert Reives II, the North Carolina House Representative for House District 54, which encompasses all of Chatham County, and parts of Orange County, has been chosen to become the head of the State House Democrats. As minority leader, he will guide the house Democrats on voting and legislative matters. He will coordinate campaigns and other events for the Democratic Party.

It is important to give back to those in need, especially since the coronavirus pandemic has affected many in our country and local community. Consider donating or participating in one or more of these efforts to spread the joy this holiday season.
The Omniscient recently sent a survey out to the students at Northwood to get their opinions on the 2020 ballot. Although Northwood’s student population exceeds 1,400, the fifty two students who took the time to respond to our questions had a lot to say!
